I found this assignment to be very interesting. Analyzing the per capita income along with the number of students on I.E.P.'s in WV, Mississippi, Utah and Arkansas was a great way to make predictions and draw conclusions about the data. I assumed that the state with the lowest per capita income would have the most students with I.E.P.'s. Based on the data, my prediction I was wrong. It turns out that WV which had the second lowest per capita income had the highest number of students with I.E.P.'s. This assignment would be a great way to get students thinking at higher levels and demonstrate their understanding in non-traditional ways.
